HOW DOES IT WORK?

How does the rental process work?

 

Step 1: Try it! Call 516-791-2020 to book an appointment.

 

Step 2: Reserve it with a 50% security deposit

 

Step 3: Rent it for 5 days 

 

Step 4: Return it 

 

 

Are the gowns available for rent or purchase?

 

We have a selection available for both rent and purchase. 

 

Rentals range from $150-$450 plus dry cleaning, and sales are generally around 2x the rental. We also have a clearance rack of significantly reduced prices.  

Do you rent to clients outside of NYC?

 

We are happy to rent gowns to clients out of the NYC area, however, since we do not ship at this time, you would have to arrange a way to have the gown picked up and dropped off. We do not send out gowns just for fittings. We do not take any responsibility for gowns that are not tried on before reserving.

At this time we are by appointment only, h0wever, if you are in the area and would like to stop by just give us a quick call before and we will do our best to fit you in.

PRICING/PAYMENT

What is the price range for a rental?

 

The rentals start at $150.00 and go up to $450.00. The average rental price is around $250.00 plus dry cleaning. Alterations are not included.   

 

When do I pay for the gown?

 

A security deposit (50% of the rental price) is due at the time of reservation. It is non-refunandable in the event of a cancellation. Full payment is due when you pick up the gown before your event. 

 

What methods of payment do you accept?

 

We accept cash, credit card, check*, and Chase Quickpay.

 

*If you wish to pay by check, the check must be recieved 5 days before pickup to give it a chance to clear. 

RESERVATIONS

How can I reserve the gown for an event?

 

A security deposit (50% of rental price) is required to reserve a gown. It doesn't go towards the rental, it is a separate deposit that is refunded once the gown is returned promptly and in good condition. 

 

You may cancel your reservation at any time, but the security deposit would not be refunded, as the gown is kept for you and cannot be rented to anyone else in that time frame. 

How many days do I get the gown for?

 

The rental is for a total of 5 days. 

 

Extra days are $10.00 per day and $5.00 per day for events out of the NYC area.

 

If alterations are required you will receive the gown up to 2 weeks earlier (free of charge). In the event that the alterations take longer we may be able to be more flexible. 

ALTERATIONS

Are alterations included in the rental? How would it work if I wanted to take in/out or hem a dress?

 

Alterations are not included in the rental, but we can refer you an excellent local seamstress or you can use your own.

 

Before reserving you may take the gown for a no-strings attached consultation and quote. Just put down a deposit for the gown bring it back within 24 hours. Once you return the gown you get your deposit back (after 24 hours we charge $10.00 per day it is out). 

 

We are pretty flexible in regard to alterations, but all alterations must be approved. 

 

The extra days needed for alterations are given free of charge. At the consultation, please inquire how many days will be needed for alterations and let us know for approval. 

DRY CLEANING

Is dry cleaning included in the rental?

 

No, dry cleaning is not included. However, for your convenience, we will take care of dry cleaning the gown before and after the rental. There is a $40.00 fee to cover the dry cleaning.  

 

LATE RETURNS

What happens if I return the gown late?

 

In order to avoid a late fee, you must return the gown by day 5 of the rental. After 5 days there is a $10.00 late fee per day ($5.00 out of the NYC area). 

 

Because our products are unique and not replaceable, we cannot purchase additional products to fulfill orders due to late returns. We rely on our customers to return our products on time so that we can continue to fulfill orders for other customers. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?

 

You may cancel your reservation at any time, but the security deposit would not be refunded, as the gown is kept for you and cannot be rented to anyone else in that time frame. 

 

Please inspect the gown before you pick it up for the event, as once the gown is picked up and paid for there are no refunds. We do not take any responsibility for damages to the gown. In the rare event that there are damages we will offer any other available gown at the same price.
